The Oregon BDR is a 683-mile, multi-day adventure motorcycle route that takes dual-sport and ADV riders on an epic off-pavement journey from Oregon’s southeastern high desert to the rugged peaks of the Cascade Range in the north.
Starting near the remote desert borderlands, the ORBDR climbs through a stunning variety of terrain—lava rock fields, silky silt beds, deep sand, and challenging mountain roads that test both skill and stamina. Riders will traverse vast sagebrush steppe, soak in natural hot springs, explore ancient lava tubes, and wind their way past glaciated volcanoes and towering pine forests.
This route is more than a ride—it’s an immersive tour through some of Oregon’s most remote and awe-inspiring landscapes, offering unforgettable views, rich geological diversity, and endless opportunities for camping, sightseeing, and solitude.
Why ride it: With its dynamic terrain, off-the-grid remoteness, and ever-changing scenery, the ORBDR stands as one of the most scenic and demanding ways to experience Oregon’s backcountry.
