Ever Wonder What the Butler Maps Team Rides?

It’s a great question—so we thought we’d answer it!

As a team of adventurers, we spend our free time getting lost and our work time making maps to keep you from getting lost. But sometimes, the best rides come from a little wandering, and we wanted to share some of our favorite moments of “lostness” from 2024—plus a few adventures we’re looking forward to in 2025.

Like you, we love getting out on two (or four) wheels to explore the incredible landscapes this country has to offer. This special map highlights eight of our team’s favorite routes, complete with a brief description of each ride, key waypoints, and POIs. And the best part? You’ll get FREE GPS tracks for all of these rides when you purchase the map—so you can experience them just as we did.

Because sometimes, getting lost is the best way to find yourself. We hope this collection of rides inspires your own adventures and that, along the way, you share a smile (and maybe a dusty handshake) with a fellow traveler. Enjoy the ride!

Alabama Hills, Mount Whitney, Lone Pine, Very familiar places in my World.

I moved to the "Indian Wells Valley" here in the Mojave Desert in Southern California, back in October of 1992. Been riding motorcycles out west since 1976. Started out in Las Vegas, Nevada with the USAF and recently retired from the Department of Defense in 2023 here in "Ridgecrest" California. I have spent many days on State Road 395 over the years. I have enjoyed the travels here in SoCal and have been from Death Valley to Lake Tahoe and this area has some of the best riding in America.

So... For my Retirement I bought a new Harley-Davinson (2024) Hydra-Glide Revival, which I included in my picture here. My plan is to enjoy SoCal during my retirement on my brand-new ride and Ana Rand's "Adventure at Alabama Hills" really got my attention with her article.

I will contact Anna Rand @ThatMotoGal and maybe help her on her return trip to the Alabama Hills here in SoCal.

Being a local rider has afforded me many stories and wonderful rides.

One last bit of intel to share with you all... I have enjoyed your Maps for many years now and have traveled here in the Southwest and have maps for California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Utah and Idaho... Plus many others I may use one day...

Guess I'm Old School... I Like Foldable Maps I can read on my Ride...

I trust this will work for you all... I really Like and Use your Maps Folks.!!!

Customer Service

I haven’t had a chance to ride any of the roads, so I can’t comment on that. However, the first map delivered had been damaged in shipping,, and when I contacted Butler Maps , they were quick to reply. I was mailed a new map that arrived promptly. I couldn’t be happier with their customer service. I’m looking forward to riding the roads described in the map.
